Information you volunteer
E-mail AddressÂ
We only collect your e-mail address if you provide it to us. PAN will not provide your email address to individuals outside of PAN without your express consent.  We will only use your email to reply to your requests for information or membership. If you provide your email only for the purposes of being on a newsletter or communications list, we will use your email solely for that purpose.
Membership DataÂ
The information you provide in the Membership Request form  is used to set you up in the PAN members Community as appropriate. It is also used for PAN to understand at an aggregate level some of the characteristics of its members.  For example, how many members come from Saskatchewan or are interested in primary care. This aggregate information may be shared on the public website so long as no individuals can be indentified.
Once you are a registered member, you may access content within the PAN Groupsite discussion forum.  The PAN Groupsite is a private site for members only and requires a login. You may enter as much or as little profile information on the PAN Groupsite as you choose to share. You can change your profile information at any time. Â
The views you share as a member on the PAN Groupsite are considered private and viewable by members only. Members are asked to respect each other’s privacy and not share information provided by others outside the PAN Groupsite. Conduct by members within the PAN Groupsite is governed by our Code of Conduct.
You can remove yourself from the PAN membership at any time within the PAN Groupsite.
PAN may use the membership data from time to time to contact members either individually or as a group by email. Some reasons why PAN would contact members are to announce events and share news.
Selling Data
The Patient Advisors Network does not sell  or rent the personal information of our members to any third parties. Â
We may from time to time survey members and report on aggregate responses. In some cases PAN may choose to sell reports containing the aggregate responses of a survey. Â Members can choose to complete these surveys or not. The surveys are entirely optional.
